On May 21, 2009, I had the opportunity to meet with Greg Furman, Founder & Chairman of The Luxury Marketing Council, to discuss the brand strategy of Montblanc. The brand was establised in 1906 as a writing instrument maker and became in particular over the past 15 years a leading global luxury brand.

The Luxury Marketing Council, a group of some 4,000 CEOs and top marketing executives, now consists of 1,000 luxury firms in 36 cities worldwide.
